Tips for African Hair Braiding

Horrible. I got my hair done here right before spring break last year. I got there at 9 am like requested. I sat there for about 1/2 waiting for them to show up. I was ok... I understand sometimes things go wrong in the morning. She then proceeded to start eating before she even started with my hair. It was unprofessional. So finally she started but after a few braids she says it would be a lot faster if she were to use nail glue to seal off the ends of the braids. I said whatever for her to go ahead. She says she doesn't have any so I would have to go to the store and buy some, along with some other hair gel. I was furious. I'd been there for a little over on hour and pretty much nothing had been done.

When I talked to her on the phone the day before she told me one price and then tried to charge me $50 more after she was done. I got there at 9 am and didn't get done until 11 pm. I KNOW it's not suppose to take that long. it's a max of 7 hours and a min of 6. I don't have that much hair.

And I agree. The language they were speaking is a variation of French. Because I caught somethings that they were saying. It's rude and unprofessional.

Going there isn't worth your time and money. I don't recommend it.

they are so mean1. Ok so i went to get my hair braided and i requested that they braid past my hair since i was keeping the micros for about 3 or 4 months. the lady tells me ok but only do it in the front where i can see like im not go look in the back or something. then when she was about half way done i asked her about it and she got mad at me and then her and 4 other ladies started talking about me in an unknown african language. not only that, they tried to change the price when i got there also. i would not recommend them to anyone, your bette off going to detroit to get your hair braided then going to them. at least it would be worth it!
