SAVED THE DAY!. BIG DADDY saved the day!! I was in town last weekend for a wedding. I arranged a car from Yellow to pick our group up from Radison. After 30 minutes of waiting, I called Yellow and they ackowledge that they made a mistake but still want to charge us??!! I ended up calling Big Daddy who got to us very fast and our driver was the BEST!! I cancelled another trip we had with Yellow and booked it with Big Daddy the follwing night. Again, the service was exceptional, cheap, and the driver was professional. I'm still working to get my money back from Yellow!!…
Terrible Service. Big Daddy was a good taxi service about 3 years ago. Now as of 2008-2009 they are terrible. You can never get a hold of them and when you do they take forever to get you. They say 20 minutes, then take 90 minutes. Never again, we use Comet and Shaggin Wagon now.…
Big Daddy Taxi - Just my experience!.
So I am bored and I ran across all these reviews on this local cab company. I personally use this company on a weekly basis. I have called them to get to work, get to class and also used them couple
of nights back from parties.
What I like about this company is that I have found out that if you make future reservations with them in advance, they will be there ON TIME! However, if you are on the go and you need a cab in minutes notice, don't expect a cab like in 10 minutes. That does not happen. Which is understandable because this ain't Chicago and you can't just flag 'em down!
Over the past months I have met numerous different drivers that work for this company. Most are very polite while others have their moments, just depends if they had a good or bad day I guess. I have always got a van when I ordered the cab. Sometimes a small van and sometimes a big van. I have called them at 3 AM and I have called them at 5 PM - I always got a cab!
The price is very reasonable. If you lived in Chicago - you know what I am talking about.... shhh!
Overall, I am very happy using this company. I don't have a car here and I am going to Cowley. They come in very handy all the time.
Usually though, I got a cab in about 20 minutes from the time I called. However, one late night I had to wait 40 minutes. They were very busy but the call taker told me that I had to wait an hour anyway. Which worked out fine for us because we were just drinking and having fun that night!
I personally highly recommend this company. They have saved me money and trouble. Just make sure you call in advance if you need to be some place at a certain time. Give these people a break! They make Lansing a lot more safer place when people are drunk at night and taking all the attitude from drunks driving around all night. Crazy!

Bigthing. Do not trust this Big Daddy Taxi! They do not want to serve you, instead they only want to fool you around. I recently scheduled a pick-up with this company. When I called them to schedule, the operator took my credit card number and then asked me my flight information and also told how much I had to pay. However, when I arrived at the airport, the taxi was not there. I called 517-367-7474. They did not ask my phone in the first few calls. Then I called again and again. Finally someone answered my call. I told him I was waiting at the airport to be picked up by their taxi. The operator told me that they would be at airport in 25 min. More than 40 min later, however, nobody showed up. I called the company again and asked how long I had to wait. They refused to answer my call first. I called again and again, finally the operator told me that the taxi was on the way and should be at the airport soon. I asked for the taxi driver's phone number and told the operator I wanted to contact the driver. When I called the driver asked whether he was coming to pick me up. they driver told me that he was not sure and needed to ask his boss!..... I waited at the airport for more than one hour and finally called a taxi from a different company. This is my experience with BIGDADDY TAXI!!!. Worse ever in America! A nightmare! I can not believe this! Since they have my credit number, I am still worrying they will charge me. If they do, I will do all I can to fight !!!…
