Great, great food...BUT THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!

I love, or at least used to love eating Rice Kitchen's food. Always cooked just right and at a very reasonable price. The problem is with the girls they have working the counter. Every time I've gone there (except for the first time) the girl at the counter was rude and seemed as if she didn't want to be bothered with my questions (which were specific and easily answerable, not generic and undeterminable). The last straw was when I called in a carry out and the girl was EXTREMELY RUDE on the phone. I called back to add something to my order and she said "is that it?" and hung up on me. I never went to pick up that order. The best part came when she called ME about an hour later asking where I was, to which I replied "is that it?" and hung up on HER!! I love their food, but I wouldn't eat there again absent a showing that the rude girls who work the counter there are no longer in the restaurant's emply.
- Pros: The food is the best Asian food I've found in the Lansing area.
- Cons: The great food is not worth putting up with the girls working the counter. Their service STINKS!

Hi, i'm Junior these year, and i ate Rice Kitchen for like triple thousand times. It was so good, especially the asia special that's written on the board. Em... there's a lot of bad comments about Rice Kitchen, but i can't understand why this comments for. I used to worked at a restaurant that open till 2am, and there's a lot of drunk customers. Bad customer service will happened on me either. Sometimes you guys should understand that people will have a margin on their temper. Once a people came drunk and spoke a lot of nonsence things to yourself so what do you think??? Be a customer is not always the right. YOU RESPECT PEOPLE, PEOPLE WILL DEFINITELY RESPECT YOU....
- Pros: Very Good
- Cons: Absolutely Great

I'm allergic to peanut butter and ordered something that really I didn't know would have peanut butter in it, cold sesame noodle.
I told them I wanted something else and they told me that they could get me something else at 15% off. "Your kidding?" I said. I went into a 10 minute long argument with a lady whom I had problems with before but not as bad. She told me I should have asked if I had food allergies. Honestly, who puts peanut butter in noodles? I asked my friends who were either first generation amaericans or had parents from Asia and they told me it does happen but only with a specific style, Tai.
Also their english is almost non-existant. I tell them a landmark two blocks away from them (since I work within down town east lansing) and it took me 5 minutes for them to know where I was, the Marriot hotel.
They have good food but if your willing to stand the horrible service try at your own risk.
- Pros: Good food
- Cons: Horrible service
