Bad colorists. The stylists are good, detailed and actually listen. The haircuts I've gotten have been decent, but the colorists are awful. Lazy is perhaps the best description. My highlights are always sloppy (and this from an "upper level" colorist), starting from 1/2 to a 3/4 of an inch from my head. She, for some reason, gave me trashy Paris Hilton bright blonde highlights which start so far from my head I left the place with really bad roots. It's awful. So, if the frosted trailer trash look is what you are going for, then this is the place for you! It's good for cuts, but avoid it for color.

Not the place for multi-textured hair!. Although the staff is polite and Aveda product selection is fine, be aware that this not the salon for those with multi-textured/ethnic hair that is not relaxed. My stylist was not skilled in how to cut texturized hair. This was the worst haircut ever in the 15+ years I have resided in Lansing.

Great salon.. Everyone is very nice. The salon is always clean and organized. Stevie has always done a great job with my hair even when I have changed styles.

I am not sure why Preg would describe it as inner city - East Lansing is a city, but a suburb at best. There is free parking if you are willing to walk a few blocks, but anyone that goes to downtown East Lansing should know that they will pay for parking.

Great place, great cut, and fun stylist! "Emerson". Beautiful surroundings for an inner city location. Stylist, Emerson, did a fabulous job with my fine hair. She has a flair for making solid recommendations especially for someone less daring with her hair style. Give her a try!

Great place. They did exactly what I asked, my hair came out perfect. The employees are super friendly! They also came around and gave hand massages as I was having my color and cut. Definitely will go back!
