Great Restaurant!. Gilbert and Blakes came highly recommended from a close friend, and it was a great choice for our MSU grad party. We were very impressed with both the food and service. I must say we were a bit skeptical due to a couple of not so great reviews we read online, but this restaurant made our evening quite enjoyable. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the service was both friendly and quick. We'll be back soon. Thanks!

Mixed food quality. I've been to this restaurant multiple times, and each time it has been a similar experience. The bread is delicious, and that's where it ends. I've only had fish for my main dish, and each time I would have to say the preparation was off. For example, the sauté is too greasy/oily, the baked fish is too dry, and the broiled fish is not seasoned (so bland).

Horrible service from the Management!. The food is over priced. What is worse is the management, who happens to be the owners wife, who is unwilling to fix a mistake caused by their cooks. They do not know what customer service is. With being a nicer restaurant you would expect they'd take care of their customers but they do the opposite. They are rude and not willing to admit when they make a mistake.
