Low Quality Beef. I ate recently at Outback Steakhouse, Okemos MI. I sat at the bar. Service at the bar is great. Service at the tables, based on past experience, is a bit under-attentive (which is typical for many sit-down restaurants). I ordered a ribeye steak rare. The menu claimed "choice" beef. The steak was delivered medium. The beef tasted a bit gamey and was rather tough. The ribeye was thoroughly devoid of marbling though it did have a couple viens of gristle running through it. It was decidedly un-juicy. The steak was reminiscent of sirloin or roun, not a juicy ribeye. I would expect this quality at a diner for about 1/2 the price paid at Outback. The sides are fine. The clam chowder is excellent. I would return but will never order steak there again.
