clean and comfortable. I've seen reviews that called this place expensive. Hmmmmm, nope! This was my first tattoo, and probably my only. So I wasn't out for Walmart prices. I was also very nervous, but the cleanliness and friendliness was comforting. I got a full color tattoo that is about 6x4 inches and it cost $150. Thats not pricey in my book, not too much to pay for a piece of artwork that I'll wear for the rest of my life. My tattoo healed within days with no problems at all, which I attribute to the skill of the artist and the care they take to keep the place clean. Two thumbs up.

Good Energy, Friendly, Knowledgeable, Professional. I have to say this place has such a good energy and feel to it. It is super clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable from a phone call to greeting to follow-up. I spoke with Emily on the phone and she spent a good deal of time speaking with me BEFORE I even walked in the door. I had my nipples pierced by Renee and Andy (done tandem). Both Renee and Andy were excellent. They answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure. In fact they did such a good job I decided to go back for a VCH. Renee is definitely someone who wants to make sure you are happy with your experience and piercings. During the VCH she wanted to make sure she was placing it just right for me and consulted with Kevin, the lead piercer. He was very nice and made sure I was OK every step of the way. I would highly recommend all three piercers to anyone! I see a lot of people complain about the price, but in my opinion you pay for quality and Splash of Color is definitely worth it!

hate this place.. i absolutely hate hate HATE this place. they have the rudest staff i have ever come across in a business. I've had not only one horrible experience, but TWO. the first time i went in to look for some new plugs for my ears. i walked in the door and not a single employee looked at me, greeted me, acknowledged my existence, nothing. So i walk over to the case with all of the various jewelery in there and i literally stand for about 10 mins while i watch the employees run around like i wasnt even there. you'd think someone would ask if i needed any help with anything or if i needed to see something, or even that they'd be with me in a second because they were helping another customer, but no one said anything the entire time i was there. HORRIBLE customer service. The second time i went in, i was going to go purchase a can of H2Ocean. i went in with a few of my friends and as they looked at the various pictures of tattoos i went over to the counter to ask for what i needed. the girl behind the desk didnt even look up and when she finally did she kind of rolled her eyes and asked me what i needed help with. i bluntly told her i came for h2Ocean and the can was $13...i've gotten it for cheaper elsewhere. she pretty much bagged it up, tossed it on the counter and said nothing else. this place is horrible and i would never set foot in there again.

I dont care!. I don't care what what this stuff says under here! I went to these people and their prices were cheep! I needed help because it was my first time getting a tattoo. They were the nicest people ever to me! Brian walked right up to me and helped me pick out an artist. After i choose brian because he does amazing tribal, he sketched it out right there is 10 minutes tops. As i waited the girls that work in there talked to me and were super nice. Brian gave me my price and helped me pick a date that was right for ME! This is an amazing tattoo shop. They are super clean and do an amazing job. I would recommend going to them.

Great place!. I recently got my nose pierced at Splash of Color and every person I came in contact with was helpful, friendly and professional. The piercer (Andy) was awesome and did a fantastic job! The whole process was virtually painless and they make sure that they tell you exactly what's going on every minute you're there. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will be getting my next tattoo there for sure!

Too big for their britches. I and my wife have had horrible experiences there. Our friends will not go either. The artists we dealt with were just plain arogant. The environment was almost hostile. I hate to speak so poorly of a business because I am sure that not all of their artists are like that, but that was just our experience. I will not return, nor will many of our friends.

Go somewhere else. I went to Splash of Color Tattoo in East Lansing to consult with an artist about getting my first tattoo. I wanted to get the tattoo on my ankle but the artist told me that they don't do them there because the artwork will fade faster. Ok, thanks for the warning, that's a good thing to know. I said I was still willing to pay to get it done on my ankle.... the artist refused again because he said that it's the artist's artwork and he just won't do it. Hello!! I drew the design and I'm a customer willing to pay for a tattoo! He was quite rude and then also tried to "warn" me that any place willing to do a tattoo on an ankle is a shady establishment. Whatever! I went to another studio (Liquid Ink) and had a wonderful experience. The artist there also warned me about the premature fading but then told me that he'd do my first touch up for free! Liquid Ink was clean, relaxed, and the staff was very nice. They also charged me 1/3 the price that Splash of Color wanted!!

Clean, knowledgeable staff, friendly. I had a horrible first experience with my naval piercing and coming here has really opened my eyes. Splash of color is probably the cleanest facility I know of for tattoo's and piercings. It feels like you're at he doctors office. You have to sign to see the needle was knew, great after care instructions everything was great. I'm not just saying this either, I really recommend Splash to anyone.
