DO NOT GO HERE!!!!. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I called the week before to make an appt. I came to the store at that time to find another bride standing at the locked front door with all of the lights off. 15 min after my appt time, which was 1pm, the owner comes to the door and says "Can I help you?" He wasn't aware that either of us had an appt. He made us take our shoes off at the front door and my mother found a very large pin in the carpet. He did not have a single staff member there and I had to pull all of my dresses with my bridesmaid assiting me in geting into the dresses. I tried on about 10 dresses and then the owner advised me that I had tried on enough dresses and that my appt time was up. That would be the appt he didn't even know that I had. Then he procedded to tell me that I was taking too much time out of his staff. That would be the staff that he didn't have. His sister did end up showing up 30 min into my appt but she had to assit another bride. I did find a dress that I really loved but I saw a few others that I had wanted to try on, but apparently I was not allowed to. I called ahead 2 weeks later to see if I needed an appt. I spoke with his sister and she said that I did not need one so I went back in. Once again we pulled our own dresses and I tried on about 5 more dresses. The one I really liked before was on a mannequin and I asked if I could try it on one more time. The owner told me that since I didn't make an appt that I could not and that I had tried on enough dresses already. Needless to say I did buy a dress that I loved but it was from David's Bridal an hour later. LADIES READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY A DRESS FROM LETS!!!!!
Owner is a compulsive lair, scam artist and a thief!!!. STAY AWAY!!!!!! I really wish I would have read the reviews before I placed my order for 6 bridesmaids dress for my sisters wedding! Everything everyone has written is absolutely correct! The owner Rick is a scam artist and has the complete incapacity to tell the truth. I place my order back in April for my sister's wedding that was in October. I was told 16 weeks and paid in full for all 6 dresses. I called 16 weeks later to find out if the order was in, was told that because of Chinese New Year all orders were "backed-up". (Chinese new year is in Feb.) So I called every week trying to find out when the dresses would be in. I kept getting the run around, after a month I was finally told by the owner, Rick, that the dress were in customs in LA and because of 9/11 they were stuck there. When I questioned if the order was ever actually placed (because I had then read all of the reviews by that time) and asked for documentation of this, Rick got defensive and started yelling at me over the phone. He did send me "documentation" a word document that he must of just typed up that stated the dresses were ordered back in April. After 20 days of the "customs hold-up" I contacted the dress maker directly, by a number I found on the web. I spoke with the manager of production at the dress company and she told me that she could not give me to much information because of the contract with Lett's bridal but she could tell me that the dress order was not placed in April it was placed "just recently" (that was September) and was a rush order and the dresses were still being made. I asked if there was a customs hold-up because of 9/11 like Rick told me, and if that would delay the dress. She told me that she didn't know anything about that, that the dresses didn't have to go through customs. I asked why and she stated, well customs deals with shipments coming from outside the US.....we don't have to deal with customs. I then asked if the dresses were made here in the US, she told me that because of the contract she couldn't give me that information, but she could tell me customs was not an issue. The production manager said that if I got a lawyer I could see all their records. From that point on I called the store every two days. The dresses finally came in 1 week before the wedding. When I picked the dresses up, I told Rick that I had called the dress company and confronted him about the customs thing and the fact that dresses were not ordered in April. Of course Rick denied everything and said the dress company was just trying to cover themselves. When I ask for documentation stating that the dresses were actually shipped from China he of course couldn't find any but showed me a little box with Chinese writing on it, stating that was proof all orders come from China. He then said that the dress company would be sending me a check for 125.00 because they messed up and they would mail it to me directly in 10 days. I never saw that check, I again called Rick and again got the run around, he said that he mailed a cashier's check to me (thought the check was coming directly from the dress company). It has now been 3 weeks....no check! I call again and he told me to call Chase bank directly (gave me a name and number) and they would send me another check. When I called Chase bank I was told that Rick had to come in and fill out paperwork and once he did that it would be 90 days until a new check would be issued. I then called the store back, 5 minutes later, and of course Rick was not there. It is not about the money, it is about the fact that the owner Rick lies constantly!!!!!!! Plus, not mention what type of person would use the tragedy of 9/11 as an excuse and as part of a lie???!!!!!! I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH...STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!!
How is this place even in business!!??. They should change their name to " Lett Down Bridal." The owner of this store is SO unprofessional, and quit frankly a scam artist.The owner's in there bad mouthing his employees,when he's not there the employees are bad mouthing him.When the owner leaves he takes the customer records with him,so just forget about getting anything accomplished if you go in when he is not there-not that you can get anything accomplished when he is there,the man is completely imcompetant.They PROMISED two orders that were put in six months ago would have more than enough time to arrive before the wedding.The week before the wedding,we find out both of the orders got messed up and would not be there.I live no where near this store and had to drive all the way out there to find this out.One of my items they just never got in..and the other they ordered the completely wrong item.The store doesn't call you when your item comes in,they just expect you have all the time in the world to call in to check on it yourself.Like matters could beLike matters could be any worse we find out they had been sitting on the one item for a week,that was a an extra week I could have find out they had the wrong item ordered and could have gone somewhere else to get it ordered in.Thanks to another very kind and helpful bridal shop-which this dumby could really take lessons from- I found out the one item had been discontinued for over a year! To end a long,horendous story just DO NOT GO TO LETT DOWN BRIDAL.They are awful on every level.
Stay away, its for the best. I had worked at Lett's bridal for almost 2 years, the original owner I had no problems with, the store ran fine and customers were happy, then in late July of 2010 Rick Roy took over the store ( Mr.Lett's nephew by marriage) sadly to say he ran down this business, it took Mr. Lett 60 years to build a reputation and it took this guy not even 6 months to ruin. I would advise you to stay away it will be the best, all he does is give you the run around and tries to blame it on the employees what has went wrong. Your dress wont come in till a week before the wedding, he will give you a pity story just to make you feel bad, it has happened multiple times, I had to leave because I wasn't getting paid and I couldn't stand lieing to customers, ive seen him do to every customer just stay away from this place this guy is a joke and I'm surprised hes lasted this long.
Terrible customer service. From beginning to an unsatisfactory end it has been an ordeal with Mr. Rick Roy owner and manager of this store. A couple of mistakes were made by his staff in ordering the bridesmaid dresses but we had ordered with plenty of time for early Sept 2011 wedding for mistakes to be corrected. This man has told us a different story every time we talk to him, you cannot trust him, he is rude and unwilling to work with us, he was only concerned with how much money he felt he was losing. A happy shopping experience with the Bride and her Bridesmaids was turned into a nightmare stay clear of this business!
This places is a joke.. Apparently this place got a new owner. He is a coward in my opinion. He makes all his employees at the store take care of his mess. He won't talk to you face to face when he knows he screwed up. Most of his employees don't even like him. They all want to quit or get fired. Is this the service you want? Go ahead and buy from Lett's Bridal. Shoot me an e-mail and tell me how bad your experience was after.
SHOULD NOT EVEN BE A BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!. this f'n store sucks. they r rude and not helpful! they owed money to me for 4 months for a product they never ordered and i never got. i called and left hundreds of messages regarding the money owed. no one returned my calls. i finally got the owner or manager whoever he was. i made arrangements with me several times to meet with me to return the money and when the time came . he was not available. called him again and just kept getting the run around from him and the girls at the store. finally i went to the store again, because he schedualed a meeting to give me the money again. i waited and waited. i called and he asid he would be a half an hour. an hour later i called him and he asked if i could meet him by the state capital building on a side street. THEN DIDNT EVEN HAVE ALL THE MONEY. HE WAS SHY 5 DOLLARS. AND SAID HE WOULD MAIL ME THE REST!!!! WHAT THE F#@$ ! SO WHO KNOWS IF I WILL EVER GET MY MONEY!!!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, EXPECIALLY FOR SUCH AN IMPORTANT EVENT!
STAY FAR, FAR, AWAY FROM LETTS. ABSOLUTE WEDDING DRESS NIGHTMARE. This is the place you hear about and say, "that stuff doesn't really happen"...but it does here. BE SMART- read all the reviews. The ones who had a good experience fell through the cracks and got out alive. Don't be the next victim.
Awful, don't go to this store!. Awful experience! Where to start, the dress was a month late. Came only days before the wedding. Service was terrible along with the ownership. As soon as they had our deposit everything went bad quickly. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. They made our dream day a nightmare.
nightmare experience. Letts has ruined my daughters wedding, she ordered her dress and 7 bridesmaids dresses last May, we are 2 months away from the wedding, and no wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses came in and 3 of them were totally wrong, 1 the wrong color, 1 ripped down the middle, 1 with bow on the wrong side. They are offering no apologies, and say everything will be fine, pardon me if I don't trust this. They are saying dresses may be in 1 week before wedding with no time for alterations, there is a reason we ordered them a YEAR ago !!!! staff very rude and non helpful, including the great Mr. Lett. the wonderful experience that should have been my daughters wedding has turned into a nightmare full of stress and crying. Will never go there for anything again and will tell everyone I come in contact with about the horrible way we have been treated. They are offering no apology and no compensation for their mistakes, you can be sure we will see them in court after we try to pull together what should have been a beautiful wedding.
